Revelation

There is so much of Revelation that has not been written about. Let us start with Verse 1 of Chapter 1.
1) “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which GOD gave him to show his servants things which must shortly take place and he sent and signified it by his Angel (messenger) to his Servant John, 2) who bore witness to the word of GOD and to the Testimony of Jesus Christ, to all the things that he saw,
3) blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this Prophecy and keep those things which are written in it, for the time is near.”
In most of my letters I tell you to read the Bible out loud. This is a mystery; in the Old and New Testament it says many times, “He who has ears let him hear.”
In Revelation, in the first three chapters it says seven times: “He who has an Ear let him hear what the Spirit says to the Churches.” In the first three Churches, it is in the body of the letter. In the last four Churches, it is outside the letter. The first three Churches are Spirit Filled Churches. The last four are not. The first Church, Ephesus, is so into the Holy Spirit that they lost their first love, Jesus Christ. We have a little of all the seven Churches in our Churches today. I studied under the late J. Vernon McGee. He would always say you could go from New York to California and never find the perfect Church because there is not one. I’ll talk more about the seven Churches another time. Let’s get back to the first verse of chapter one: “...He sent and signified it by his Angel (messenger) to his Servant, John...” (these are what I call Players of the Bible, and you will see them throughout the Bible) The players are: GOD, Jesus (GOD become flesh), Holy Spirit (GOD), Michael (Angel), Gabriel (Angel), Enoch (Flesh), Elijah (Flesh), and Moses (Flesh). Which one of these was the Angel (messenger) that showed John the Revelation? Let’s go first to Revelation 19:9. “Then he said to me, ‘write, “blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb,”’ and he said to me, ‘these are the true sayings of GOD,’ 10) and I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, ‘see that you do not do that. I am your fellow servant and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship GOD! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.’”
Let’s go to Matthew 17:1: “Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, and led them up on a high mountain by themselves. 2)And he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun and his clothes became as white as the light. And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with them. Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, ‘Lord, it is good for us to be here, if you wish let us make here three tabernacles, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.’”
OK, John knows what Moses and Elijah look like, so it was not them. Now let’s go back to Revelation 22:6. “Then he said to me, ‘These words are faithful and true. And the Lord God of the Holy Prophets sent his Angel to show his servants the things which must shortly take place.’
7) ‘Behold I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.’
8) Now, I John, saw and heard these things and when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the Angel (messenger) who showed me these things. 9) Then he said to me, ‘see that you do not do that for I am your fellow servant and of your Brethren. The prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book, worship God.’”

He (the messenger) is of John’s brethren, and also is a prophet. Let’s go to Hebrews 11:5: “By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, and was not found because God had taken him. For before he was taken, he had this testimony that pleased God.”
Now we can go to Jude verse 14: “Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, ‘Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of his saints 15) to execute judgement on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds, which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.’”
Now you can see that it was Enoch who showed John in Revelation these things.
Knowing Jesus and helping others is the rent that we pay on Earth for our room in Heaven. It is not what you know, it is who you know, Jesus Christ.
