WALKING AND TALKING A GOOD ATTITUDE

“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy-meditate on these things.” Philippians 4:8
Ruby and I have just returned from an awesome trip to Cancun, Mexico. One of our grand- daughters was married next to the beautiful ocean that our God created in the beginning of this earth. His heart gave us an excellent earth with everything in it to bless us as we go about rejoicing in so great a time and all that comes forth for us.
The hotel we were in had great eating places. The buffet had great food except the 2nd morning the bacon source was not real good. I had a bad attitude about missing the great bacon with my eggs and the next morning I was amazed that there was no bacon in the pan. The Lord told me that my attitude had been bad and that I needed to ask Him to forgive me. I did and in a few minutes one of the family came forth with her plate and in it had great bacon. Our loving God comes forth quickly to bless us as we purpose to walk with Him in a good mind.
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and uphold me by Your generous Spirit.” Psalms 51:10-12
We must see how important it is for us to think properly at all times. We are blessed in the salvation that was given us by Jesus and part of this salvation is a new heart. We are told that we have two minds. Our own present mind needs to be transformed by having it renewed so that we have the mind of Christ in control of our walk here on the earth.
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:1-2
My granddaughter with the good bacon gave me a slice and it was great. How great is our God of loving mercy and kindness. May our God help all of us to have His mind in control of our daily lives. Amen and Amen. Blessings, Homer and Ruby
