The legend of Hans Brinker tells about a little Dutch boy who noticed a drip of water leaking from the town dike. He was a smart little lad who recognized that this single little drop of water could turn into a rushing torrent that would destroy the town and people below. Of course all who have read the story remember he put his finger in the dike and saved the entire city.
The moral of the story is that even a child with limited strength and resources can avert disaster if they act quickly. Hans Brinker became a watchman who put his finger in the dyke and cried out a warning. His heroic action spared the lives of all those who were unaware of the impending danger about to destroy them.
America is in dire need of many Han Brinker’s for the foundation’s that made this nation great are cracked and leaking. There is a spiritual transformation taking place in America that can no longer be ignored.
For the first time in the history of America a sitting President addressed the Planned Parenthood Federation of America and criticized all those who continue to use the organization as a punching bag. Our President degraded North Dakota who wants to ban abortion when a fetal heartbeat is detected and shouted out that after decades of progress there are still those who want to turn back the clock to policies more suited to the 1950’s than the 21st century.
While the president praised Planned Parenthood the atrocities of Dr. Kermit Gosnell were being played out in the courtroom of West Philadelphia. Workers at the abortion clinic were testifying under oath of how this man took scissors and snipped the necks of more than thirty babies born alive. One worker testified that she saw a baby thrown in the toilet and while trying to swim out it was flushed down into the sewer system.
The blood from aborted babies flushed down the sewer system at abortion clinics flows into our water supply at a rate of 1.1 million a year. In addition to abortion we have legalized drug use, same sex marriage, and we have turned our public schools into re-education camps that teach doctrines unknown to our founding fathers. When a nation legalizes and officially embraces sin it will be judged by God. The bible states:
“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own strength.” Isaiah 5:20-21.
As Christians we are required to sound the trumpet against evil. We have a moral duty to put our finger in the dyke and stop the drip. Unfortunately, far to many have kept their hands in the comfort of their pockets.

Instead of stopping the drip Christians have let it grow into a torrent stream of evil water that is destroying every Godly principle this nation was founded upon.
It is time for Christian’s to wake up, stand up, and speak up. Most of us know in our heart where this country is heading. We see Christian genocide taking place in the Middle East and Israel fighting for it’s very existence. Far to many watch in silence as Lucifer advances his kingdom and principles around the earth.
It cost John the Baptist his head for merely telling Herod it was a sin to marry his brothers wife. Like John the Baptist the day is coming when it’s going to cost us something to claim the title of Christian.
The Legend of Hans Brinker saved his town. It is my prayer that the legend of the 21st Century church will have the same results.
