Lions

On the 6th day of creation, God created land animals. In these were included the great cats, jaguars, leopards, tigers... and lions. These lordly cats are often thought of as the greatest of the great cats and are regarded with a mixture of fear and awe.
There are many references to lions in the Bile, and in 1 Peter 5:8, it says: “the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.” but the Bible also characterizes Jesus as the Lion of Judah, as in Revelation 5:5.
In the Chronicles of Narnia y C.S. Lewis, the great Lion Aslan symbolizes Jesus Christ, who came to die for our sins, and in the Newsboys song “God’s Not Dead” it says that God is living on theinside, roaring like a lion”.
Lions are strong, powerful, and beautiful, but lions can also portray peace and warmth, such as “lion quiet” which is the name of a dirt road in North Idaho.
Lions are some of the largest cats in the world, with males weighing up to 350 lbs. God reated lions with everything they need to survive, from their bushy manes and powerful jaws, to their tongues and expressive faces. Lions are very attentive to each other’s facial expressions, of which they have many.
A lion’s jaw is short compared to their body size and this gives them more leverage for a terrifying, ferocious bite. Lion’s tongues, like house cats, are very rough, perfect for licking clean the bones of a recent kill. God even made lions the color that they are for a reason. The beautiful gold helps them to hie in the tall grass when they are stalding prey.
Lions make many sounds, and the while the most commonly known one is the roar, they also grunt, growl, snarl, hiss, purr, and even meow! A lion’s roar can be heard up to 5 miles away and is a very terrifying sound.
Lions, also like house cats, can be frightened by the sudden appearance of something large. Smaller lions can be intimidated by another lion with a large mane and this is one reason that God gave lions manes. Another reason is to protect the lions neck during fights with other lions. A male lion’s mane begins to grow around the age of 2 and a half and by the age of 5 it is full grown. The lions mane is completely unique as no other cat has a mane and no other animal has such a huge, beautiful, glorious mane as the lion.
Lions are very similar to practically any other cats, exept that lions are very social. Most lions do everything in family groups, caled lprides. A few unlucky lions may be alone, but most lions are very sicial, and live in the safety of their pride. God made lions this way for a reason. Alone, lions have a very hard time hunting and are much more likely to be killed by hyenas.
Many people mistakenly belive in evolution, that everything gradually, through random chance, came to be as it is now. Evolutionists say that unicellar organisims are “simple” and that many millions of years ago, everything, even something as beautiful as the lion, evolved from a single cell in a prehistoric swamp. The logic of evolution states that things are becoming more and more perfect, which should be obviously not true, as evolution goes aganist the grain of everyday life, which should be proof enough. However, anything that is looked at closely enough points to the Creator of all things.
