The Problem:
Do you feel like the fire
of your marriage has
burned out? Is there a
lack of intimacy between
you and your mate? Does
a wall exist that
blocks communication and
fellowship? Well, if you
answered yes to
these questions, there is
a solution to your
marital problems; his
name is Jesus! He is the
answer. Jesus is the one
that will keep and
protect husbands and
wives so that their
marriages will last, grow and
flourish. John 16:33
states, “these things I
have spoken unto you,
that in me ye might have
peace. In the world ye
shall have
tribulation: but be of
good cheer; I have
overcome the world.”
Marriage
Marriage is the most
profound, intense, and
intimate of all human
relationships. Unity is
the central precept of
marriage. However,
many couples are
experiencing a sense of
disharmony, loneliness, and
frustration in their
marriages. God did not
create marriage for
couples to endure
heartache and distress.
Rather, He created a
glorious union that
requires a total
commitment. Marriage is
designed
to allow couples to
experience happiness,
joy, unity, and pleasure in
the here and now!
Why are marriages
problematic?
(Hosea 4:6) “My people
are destroyed for a lack
of knowledge....” A
lack of knowledge allows
Satan to gain an
advantage in marriage. He
seeks to destroy all
marriages. Although this
union is entered into
by natural means, it is
however, a spiritual act.
Satan attacks
marriages to bring
disharmony and strife to
destroy the bond of unity.
Marriage is meant to
unify a husband and wife.
Nevertheless, Satan
understands that there is
an inherent power in
God’s principle of
unity. Therefore, Satan
seeks to render the
married couple powerless
to enjoy the beauty of
marriage.
There is hope for all
marriages.
A happy home is built on
the concepts of loyalty
and commitment. God
instructs in (Gen 2:24),
“For this cause shall a
man leave his father
and mother, and shall
cleave to his wife, and
they shall become one
flesh”. The word “cleave”
is powerful. It means to
be adhered to or
glued to. This glue is
the commitment that is
needed for marriages to
survive. There is no
conflict in marriage that
is so great that
faithful, commitment can
not solve. Therefore,
before you give up on
your marriage, trust God.
He will instruct you and
give you the power
to have a strong,
committed marital
relationship so wonderful
that it
will be as days as heaven
on earth!
